HeadSaver Soft Head Protector

HeadSaver Soft Head Protector is a stylish and comfortable head protector intended to protect the head and scalp from impact forces. It is suitable for use by people who are at risk of a fall, trip or slip related injury to the scalp area of the head. HeadSaver is a Class 1 Medical Device designed for wear by a single user.

HeadSaver is suitable for adults at risk of falling, including the elderly men and women in care home settings as well as the elderly people, who live independently in their own homes. HeadSaver can also help to protect people suffering with medical conditions that make them unsteady on their feet, such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease or Cerebral Palsy.

HeadSaver has been impact tested and validated to reduce the magnitude of impact forces from accidental head collisions. For the range of impact tests conducted, lower peak impact forces were observed with the HeadSaver soft helmet, when compared to impact tests conducted without the HeadSaver soft helmet.

1. Frontal Impact Test (with HeadSaver): 53% reduction in the peak impact force.

2. Lateral Impact Test (with HeadSaver): 56% reduction in the peak impact force.

3. Posterior Impact Test (with HeadSaver): 50% reduction in the peak impact force.

HeadSaver head protectors are available in 2 adjustable sizes and fit most people. When placed on a person's head, the HeadSaver head protector offers extremely comfortable yet snugly fit and should not come off the head during a fall. However, there is also a Velcro detachable chin strap with clip for extra security provided with each HeadSaver head protector.

Measuring for the correct HeadSaver size is simple. Just run the tape measure around the head above the centre of the forehead and on the upslope of the bump at the back and 1 cm above the tops of the ears. Subsequently - select the correct size:

1. Small / Medium (52 - 56 cm head circumference)
2. Medium / Large (57 - 62 cm head circumference)

HeadSaver can be worn continually during the day or just at times of increased activities, such as during exercising, walking, jogging or working at leisure in the garden.

When placed on a head, the HeadSaver offers an extremely comfortable fit that holds the HeadSaver in place so that the HeadSaver should not come off the head during a fall. If additional securing to the wearers head is required, a Velcro detachable chin strap with clip is provided with every HeadSaver.

There are 3 adjustment points secured by Velcro on the HeadSaver - one on the top and two at the back on both sides of the soft head protector. Adjust these adjustments by securing the Velcro in the correct positions to provide the most comfortable fit with the front of the soft head protecting HeadSaver sitting circa 1.5 cm above the eyebrows of the wearer. If needed, use the chin strap (provided) to secure the head protector under the chin and fasten firmly.

HeadSaver soft head protector fabric composition: EVA, Elastane, Cotton and Polyester.

Care instructions: HeadSaver soft head protector can be gently hand washed with warm water and mild detergent and air dried away from sunlight. It should not be tumble dried or dried on hot radiators. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not iron.
