The body's systems - heart and circulation in particular - require sufficient time to adjust to changes placing greater demands on them. It is therefore of paramount importance to increase such demands - loads - slowly step by step and taking sufficient breaks during training sessions to allow the body to adjust and build up its strength and endurance. You must always begin the training at a capacity that does not strain you or overexert you!
You must ensure that you always exercise at a rate that is comfortable. You will find that once you train regularly and for over a period of time, you will be able to increase the duration of your exercise sessions as wll as raise the difficulty level.
You must never start or end your training abruptly.
Always warm up first. Then embark on your actual training exercises.
After you have completed your training, take a few minutes to warm down and follow with a few relaxation exercises.

Tips for successful and healthy training:
always follow training advice presented in the user manual
train regularly and on a long term basis
always wear suitable clothing that is comfortable and well ventilated (i.e. tracksuit)
never train on full stomach - avoid eating for one hour before and after training
do not train if you are feeling tired or unwell
drink more fluids whilst training - your body always requires more fluids during sporting activities
