Training Pelvic Floor with Femme PFT with Contraction Indicator

Femme PFT Pelvic Floor Trainer with Biofeedback Contraction Indicator is simple, quick and easy to use. Femme PFT is often referred to as 'pelvic floor educator', becuase traning the pelvic floor muscles means educating them to perform their functions well. Initial results of educating pelvic floor muscles can be noted after 7 days of use. After 8 weeks you should begin to notice more significant improvements - fewer and lesser urine leakage, greater sexual responsiveness.

Pelvic floor muscles - the pubococcygeal muscles - are a hammock like muscles that support pelvic and abdominal organs. Pelvic floor supports the uterus, the bladder and the bowels. Strong pelvic floor prevent stress incontinence from developing. Pelvic floor also contributes to sexual function, including intensity of sensation and secretion during sexual arousal.

- Strong pelvic floor muscles ensure life long continence and good sexual function.

- Weak pelvic floor muscles lead to incontinence and contribute to genital prolapse of pelvic organs.

Childbirth often compromises pelvic floor muscles. Stress incontinence - leakage of urine during sneezing or coughing, running or jumping – is usually the first manifestation of weak pelvic floor. Stress incontinence is common in women after childbirth, but the loss of pelvic muscle tone occurs even in women, who never gave vaginal birth. Hormonal changes during and after menopause also contribute to the  loss of pelvic floor tone and strength. Womens Waterworks by Dr Pauline Chiarelli is an easy to read global best seller that teaches women about the importance of pelvic floor and pelvic floor exercises that can help provent incontinence and improve sexual sensitivity.

Femme young woman. Women of all ages should endeavour to maintain their pelvic floor strength and to tone pelvic floor muscles regularly. Regular pelvic floor exercises can prevent or slow down the natural muscular weakening. Benefits of strong pelvic floor include prevention or reversal of incontinence, prevention of pelvic organs prolapse and greater sexual fulfillment for both partners.

Pelvic floor exercises are the simplest way to keep your pelvic floor strong. Pelvic floor exercises are often referred to as Kegel exercises. Pelvic floor exercises were named after Dr Arnold Kegel, who first described them, when trying to identify ways of preventing urinary incontinence.

The basic Kegel exercises are simply repeated squeezes of pelvic floor muscles. You should perform up to 200 squeezes per day. You can also squeeze the muscles slowly and hold for several seconds to improve endurance. You can also perform fast squeezes and relaxations without holding.

Pelvic floor exercises condition, tone and strengthen pelvic floor muscles over a period of time. When you first start Kegel exercises, count the number of squeezes you can perform before your muscles get tired. As you continue with exercising over a period of time - count again and note your progress. You will see a significant improvement in both the strength and the endurance!

Success of pelvic floor exercises depends on regularity, good technique and the use of correct muscles. Isolating and using correct pelvic floor muscles is very important as it is the pelvic muscle contraction that strengthens the pelvic floor. Some women have difficulties in isolating pelvic floor muscles and tend to contract abdominal or thigh muscles instead.
