TENS machines are a well researched and recognised essential aids for pain relief during childbirth. TENS machines are effective in easing the labour pains and cramps. TENS machines are also very safe and simple to use.

Obstetric TENS machines, such as Neurotrac Obstetric Tens have been especially designed to suppress the pains of childbirth. Neurotrac Obstetric TENS utilises electric frequencies and pulses found to be the most effective in relieving of the labour pains. Neurotrac Obstetric Tens is designed in a special way with remote control switches, enabling the woman in labour to control the TENS machine with ease. This controllability puts the woman in charge of her pain relief, making the childbirth a more bearable and enjoyable experience.     

Clinical evidence suggests that the optimum pain control is achieved, when the stimulator is used from the first onset of the labour pain and for two to three hours after the birth. The low frequency stimulation is to be used during periods between contractions, whilst the higher frequency should be reserved for the times of strong contractions.

Neurotrac Obstetric TENS

Neurotrac Obstetric Tens is an advanced digital dual channel TENS machine that features dedicated Labour Pain programme. Three different treatment modes provide maximum coverage of the labour pains spectrum. The NeuroTrac Obstetric Tens can help to relieve obstetric pain and all kinds of aches associated with the childbirth. 80% efficacy rate has been observed. Neurotrac Obstetric TENS is controlled by a hand held push button control that allows easy and convenient change of stimulation modes for the best pain control during labour.

NeuroTrac Obstetric Tens uses four rectangular self adhesive skin electrodes that are 100 x 50 mm in size. Four electrodes should be placed between the 10th thoracic vertebrae and the 1st lumbar vertebrae. Alternatively, the two electrodes should be placed between the 10th thoracic vertebrae and the 2nd sacral vertebrae as pictures on the right.  

NeuroTrac Obstetric Tens offers the following specifications:

• Automatic switch off after 4 minutes, if the Neurotrac Labour TENS is not in use

NeuroTrac Obstetric TENS is easy to use and is simply controlled with hand held remote controller.

Please note that the NeuroTrac Obstetric Tens has been designed to relieve pain during childbirth and therefore has only a limited use for other types of pain!
