About Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Technology for Home Use

VISS IPL Acne Treatment Lamp CartridgeVISS IPL utilises a light technology originally used only by professional beauticians at beauty salons.  VISS IPL utilises the same IPL technology, but adapted for home use.

VISS IPL features interchangeable lamp cartridges that enable you to perform a variety of beauty treatments at home.  You can use your VISS IPL effectively and safely for acne treatment as well as hair removal at home by simply changing lamp cartridges, thus offering versatility, flexibility and value.

Acne and IPL Acne Care

Acne most commonly develops when skin cells do not shed properly. Skin cells stick together and plug up the pores around the hair follicles. The blockage encourages the sebum produced by sebaceous glands and P. acnes bacteria to flourish in the skin pores, leading to formation of pimples, blemishes and redness and inflamed skin patches.

You can perform acne care treatment with your VISS IPL on your face and body, where spots and blemishes are found.

The VISS IPL Acne Care lamp allows you to effectively treat acne at home, using professional IPL technology. The acne lamp delivers 300 - 700 nm wavelengths, a specific wave length range that inhibits the production of common acne causing bacteria, thus helping to clear bacteria-clogged pores without application of medicated preparations or ingestion of drugs. The process is pain free and there is no downtime. The IPL Acne Care lamp delivers an effective and safe light-based therapeutic modality that is revolutionizing the treatment of acne.

The secret of VISS IPL success lies in advanced filter technology that delivers optimally filtered wavelengths of pulsed light into the skin layers for outstanding results. The best part is that professional treatments in your home are now as simple as 'point and click'. The VISS IPL treatments are gentle and convenient and produce excellent results in the privacy of your own home.

VISS Beauty IPL delivers IPL acne treatments effectively and safely in your own home:

  • Professional quality IPL acne treatments in your home are now as simple as point and click
  • In addition to acne treatment, VISS IPL system addresses a variety of other beauty problems, including mild rosacea, sun damage, age spots, mild wrinkling and vascular/pigmented lesions as well as removes unwanted hairs
  • VISS IPL System is an advanced IPL with interchangeable treatment lamps for an array of popular beauty treatments in the privacy of your home
  • VISS IPL Acne Treatments are quick, gentle and non-invasive. There is no interruption of your routine activities

How does VISS IPL Acne Care Treatment work?

VISS IPL utilizes the power of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat acne and related skin problems. The IPL treatment also stimulates new collagen production beneath the skin surface, which tightens and firms the skin and shrinks large pores.

VISS IPL technology works by directing controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by the pigment melanin in the pigmented areas of the skin and the haemoglobin in the blood.

For Acne clearance, VISS IPL works in two ways:

Acne skin1.    by reducing the blood supply to the sebaceous gland, which in turn slows down production of the sebum

2.    by destroying acne bacteria (P. acnes) that blocks the pores
The visible light emitted by the VISS IPL System is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and right amount of energy to destroy the cellular targets without damaging surrounding healthy tissues.

Using VISS IPL for Acne Treatment

For many people, using VISS IPL may be their first experience with a light-based device designed for self-treatment.

Before using the VISS IPL device read the entire user manual very carefully.

Ensure that you have fitted optionally purchased Acne Care Lamp Cartridge into the treatment wand of the VISS IPL device.

To prepare for treatment, you must apply the VISS IPL Pre-treatment Conductive Gel as this prepares the skin for the IPL treatment and enhances outcomes.

IPL Acne Treatment 'step by step' guidance

  • Clean and clear the treatment area, removing all traces and residues of cosmetic products and makeup.
  • To prepare for treatment, you must apply the VISS IPL Pre-treatment Conductive Gel. This Gel prepares the skin for the IPL treatment and enhances outcomes.
  • Put on the Safety Glasses.
  • Using VISS IPL is effortlessly easy - simply turn the IPL device on, adjust the light intensity to the level that suitable for your skin as detailed in the user manual.
  • Place the applicator wand on the skin.
  • When the 'ready to flash' indicator sounds, press the flash button. Move over to adjacent skin area and repeat the same action. Ensure that you overlap the treated areas slightly.
  • Each flash treats a skin area of 6 cm square (3 cm x 2 cm).
  • During the flash, you will feel a warm sensation and gentle tingling. When treating more sensitive skin areas, this sensation may be similar to a warm rubber band being snapped against the skin.
  • After treatment, apply the VISS IPL Post Treatment Gel to hydrate, replenish and protect your skin. You should always apply the Post Treatment Gel prior to sun exposure when undergoing a course of IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatments. Please note that the IPL Post Treatment Gel is the same as you apply after hair removal treatments.
  • Depending on the degree of problems you are treating and their severity, a series of 8 to 12 weekly treatment sessions are recommended.
  • You will begin to notice visible results within 1 month of regular weekly treatments. Further progressive improvements will be seen in 2 months and the final results will be apparent after completing 3 months of regular treatments.
  • Follow up treatments can start 3 months after the completion of the first treatment course.
